Family room
Young Foodies
One of the rooms is designed for families as it is all on one level. It can be set up as a double, as a twin or shared with a third adult or child using the sofa bed. We have a cot and Z-bed available for babies and toddlers. There is no extra charge for wee ones sharing with their parents.
All children are welcome to dine with their parents for lunch, which is slightly more informal. In the evening, children over the age of eight can dine with us. Dining at the Kitchen Table is not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Is there a Minimum Charge for Children?
We do not offer a Children's Menu as such, but we are happy to adapt dishes to suit younger tastes. We make no cover charge for babies or toddlers using our highchairs, except a nominal amount for any specific requests such as bread, soup or ice cream. Half portions of the Menu dishes can be requested for children at Lunch or Dinner and will be charged at 50% discount.
What about Children staying in The House Over-By? Please note that children under eight years of age will not be permitted to eat in the restaurant at dinner, but, with advance notice, we can organise a children’s tea in The House Over-by at 5.00pm to 5:30pm instead of Dinner in the Restaurant.
